Hi, Captain Pedantic here! The 1977 1/2 ton Ford was an F-100, not an F-150. As a former / current owner of several period F-100's and an “early” F-150, I can tell you the transition was around 1983.
Moving on. I can’t wait to watch that video.

If he doesn’t drift while towing something, this is a fail.

If there is any place for that kind of comment, it’s here.

Wanted to say this, too. R ealistically, it is a truck-like skin over pretty much the same tube-frame chassis, I’m sure, so one could almost call it an F-150 rather than an F-100. But that would be wrong.

Anyone else disappointed by the decision to use an Ecoboost engine? I get that it’ll still make plenty of power, but that 1 second exhaust note clip is disapp ointing.

Given that i drive an f-150 every now and then, I’m actually quite happy that he used an ecoboost. gives higher power ratings than the 5.0 in the current F-Series and who cares about the sound as long as it spits flame. and also, i live in the town where Za xbys was founded

only on oppo

He could have just turbo’d the 5.0...
![]() 10/24/2018 at 14:22 |

Correct! T he hoonicorn has a twin turbo V8 and makes 4-digit HP

That ball looks like it’s seen some use....

“Who cares about the sound as long as it spits flame”
Uh me :D Also whynotboth.gif
And for the record, I own a 6 cylinder F-150 ( ye ole 300), so I’m not a slobbering “ever ything must have a V8!” fool , just a slobbering “V6's sound terrible!” fool.

I hope so.

Boooooo.
Should have been two-
tone paint

But he could get more torque out of this engine. and also, maybe he doesnt want to do another truck with 1400 hp because it nearly killed him when he tested for climbkhana

No. You can not get more torque out of a TT 3.6L V6 vs a TT 5.0L V8.

Ford 3.5L EcoBoost V-6 Peak Torque:420 lb-ft @ 2,500 rpm (2011 - 2016 MY F-150)
2019 Ford F-150 XL 5.0L V8 4WD SuperCrew Cab Short Box/Torque
400 lb-ft @ 4,500 rpm

Yup, it’s about as much original as a nascar truck.

I would show you the ecoboost equivalent but i was met with this http://hennesseyperformance.com/vehicles/ford/ford-gt/2017-ford-gt/

I’m not against it, but how would that even work?

Maybe something like this
